Hormone health is something that more and more women are paying attention to for a multitude of REAL reasons. Knowledge is power and that is my goal, to offer education to help others. It is important to pay attention to your bodies’ symptoms and understand what they mean. Often times, negative symptoms in our bodies are related to deficiencies in our diet and exercise. This is something we can all improve upon over time, but there are some things that can help along the way. I recently started taking a new hormone supporting supplement and I am really loving it so, I wanted to share it with you all! Different than your other vitamins, Harmony provides you nutrients where you may be deficient and is a supplement that is meant to help regulate your hormone irregularities.
You probably already know that female hormone levels fluctuate over an approximately 28 day cycle. Male hormones fluctuate on a 24 hour cycle. So while your man might have different emotions at different times of the day, we have emotions at different times of the month! Aka it’s normal to feel different energy levels and emotions throughout the month. But it isn’t normal to feel unwell! There is a lot going on inside the female body when it comes to hormone levels and a lot of things that can throw them out of whack.
If our hormones are out of balanced we might experience; acne, digestive issues, feeling cold, feeling warm, headaches, cramps, diarrhea, insomnia, fatigue, weepiness, anxiety, rashes, weight loss, weight gain and the inability to conceive. Just to name a few!! No ladies, these symptoms are not normal.
Hormones can become imbalanced due to things like stress, environmental toxins, birth control and life in general. I know that might sound overwhelming but there are effective ways we can support our hormones.
1. Take a Hormone Supporting Supplement
1st Phorm’s newest product, Harmony, is designed to help the female body find a healthy hormonal balance through supporting better sleep, energy levels, weight management, fertility, and complexion.
How to use:
Take one serving (2 vegan capsules) of Harmony twice per day with 12-16 oz of water – once with your first meal of the day and again with a midday meal.
I have been using for one month now and I can honestly tell a HUGE improvement in my overall energy levels and mood as well as major improvement with symptoms of PMS- which is one thing I was really hoping to get out of this! I’m super excited!
Top 3 ingredients:
Maca: A plant root traditionally used to promote better energy and mood as well increase sex drive and fertility.
Ashwagandha: An incredibly healthy medicinal herb. It’s classified as an “adaptogen,” meaning that it can help your body manage stress & anxiety by reducing cortisol levels. There are many other benefits provided to the body and brain like improving thyroid function and increasing sexual performance.
Calcium D- Glucarate: Made by combining glucaric acid with calcium to make medical grade supplements. Calcium D-Glucarate is used for preventing breast, prostate, and colon cancer; and for removing cancer-causing agents, toxins, and steroid hormones from the body
Here’s what 1st Phorm had to add:
With its carefully researched blend of powerful ingredients, Harmony is meant to attack this issue directly by reducing the effects of this chaos and balancing out your levels of estrogen and cortisol. By creating this balance you are going to see clearer skin and feel more in control of your mood, cravings, anxiety levels, focus, and sleep.
We know that even following a perfect diet and exercise routine, if estrogen and cortisol levels are not in your favor it can make it very difficult, if not impossible, to burn body fat. By balancing cortisol and estrogen levels, you will be able to deal with the stresses of life much more effectively and also put your body in a better place to burn body fat.
If you have struggled with acne outbreaks and skin complexion or if you’ve had a difficult time losing weight, have terrible cravings, experience severe symptoms from PMS or menopause, have trouble sleeping, or battled with anxiety Harmony can be your answer. Put your body back into a balanced hormone state with Harmony.
2. Take Care of your Body
Since stress, lack of sleep, lack of exercise and diet can all mess with our hormones it’s important to include those things in a way that feels good to you! Don’t like running? Go to spin. Don’t like spin? Go to yoga. Don’t like broccoli? Eat spinach. Don’t like spinach? Eat kale. If we don’t train or eat in a way we love we probably won’t stick to it! Find what works for you.
3. Get Educated on Birth Control
Birth control definitely serves its purpose but there are a lot of side effects you might not be aware of. Dr. Jolene Brighton takes a great, relatively unbiased approach to birth control in her book/audio book, Beyond the Pill.
Ladies, who doesn’t want to FEEL their best?! I know I am my best self when I am feeling energized and glowing from the inside out! I hope these steps can help you!

Can a gal take this while on birth control?
I always recommend that you check with your doctor and/or one of the nutrition & supplement specialists at 1st Phorm to double check. 1-800-409-9732
Have you heard of issues losing weight after getting off birth control? I was on Yaz/Yazmin for like a decade (actually lost weight while on it) but went off it last year after reading about all the bad press around it. I decided not to go on any other bc and I went from 135 pounds to 157 as of today. I work out daily, go for two walks a day, and my diet is pretty good (I calorie count/am gluten-free and eat pescatarian) but I just can’t seem to lose the extra weight (and I’m only 5’1 so the weight is very obvious on me). I’m thinking the birth control messed up my hormones or something, but my doctor didn’t have much to say about it (especially since my bloodwork shows I’m healthy as a horse) and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of research online regarding it. I saw an ad for Harmony and am considering giving it a go- think this would likely help?
