The kiddos and I are always looking for fun things to do together. If you haven’t been apple picking yet, ooooh now is the time! The honeycrisps are ripe and perfect and tart and ready for all the delicious recipes.
Today I have the perfect little Fall treat for you. Mini homemade apple crumble is the best little dessert that even the littles can help make! We love to throw these in the oven right after dinner for a special treat.
To make 1 mini pie
1 mini pie dish or mini cast iron (approx 3.5 inches)
1 large apple (core, peel, slice)
¼ Cup dry oats or quick oats
2 Tbsp Butter (at room temperature)
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1 Tbsp White Sugar
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In mixing bowl, place sliced apple, ½ Tbsp Cinnamon, 1 Tbsp Sugar, and 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix and add to greased mini baking dish.
In mixing bowl place butter, ¼ c oats, 1 Tbsp brown sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon and combine with hands (butter will be soft and will be clumpy) – Place over top of sliced apples.
Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Top with ice cream or whipped cream!
You can use any fruit in place of apples as well – peaches, berries, etc.

These look so good! I just wanted to confirm the amount of cinnamon 🙂 It calls for 1 TBS total…1/2 TBS w/ apples then 1/2 TSP w/ oat mixture.. is it a TBS or TSP? lol. Thanks- Can’t wait to try this!
