Reflections on an Intense 2024: A Year of Growth and Gratitude
As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind that 2024 has been—an intense year filled with challenges, celebrations, and invaluable lessons. From navigating family health struggles to pursuing ambitious projects, this year has truly tested my resilience and deepened my appreciation for the people and experiences that enrich my life.
One of the most significant challenges we faced was having multiple family health struggles all at one time. It was a tough time for our family, and there were moments when it felt like we were barely keeping our heads above water. Despite the struggles, we found strength in one another, and it reminded us of the importance of support and solidarity during difficult times.
In the midst of these trials, I had the privilege of working on two large and exciting projects for RA & RFA, while Sal was immersed in a massive endeavor at 1st Phorm. Balancing work and family has been no small feat, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I have been working harder than ever, yet my greatest joy comes from being present with my children. I have made it a priority to not miss out on their milestones and daily joys, and that commitment continually fuels my drive.
Amid the challenges, there were remarkable moments worth celebrating. Our 10-year anniversary was a beautiful reminder of our journey together, and the birth of my niece Blair brought so much joy to our family. We created unforgettable memories traveling with the kids—from the mountains of Park City to the beaches of Mexico, and the bustling streets of Chicago and NYC. Each new adventure was a chance to bond, explore, and soak in the beauty of life.
On the professional front, I traveled extensively for work, training and being trained across the country. A significant highlight was spending time in New York City focusing on the development of RFA skincare. The energy of the city and the excitement of building something meaningful were invigorating. This year was about packing in as many experiences as possible—I love engaging fully with life and savoring every moment.
Through it all, I’ve learned a profound lesson: we are nothing without our health. Watching my family face adversity sparked a deeper awareness of the importance of well-being, inspiring me to embark on a personal health journey. It has also motivated me to further develop the wellness division at Racquel Aesthetics, an initiative I am incredibly passionate about.
As I look ahead to 2025, I am filled with anticipation and excitement for what lies ahead. I can’t wait to witness our expansion come to life and make more cherished memories with my husband and kids. I am eager to build something truly amazing alongside my work family while prioritizing my own health.
Reflecting on this year, I am grateful for the challenges that have shaped me and the joyous moments that have filled my heart. Here’s to embracing the future with open arms, ready to squeeze every last bit of zest out of life. After all, we only get one!
