A Day In The Life

As a momma to my 3 littles, wife to Sal, business owner to two businesses, sister, daughter, friend, etc , finding the balance in life can get a little chaotic at times. A goal for 2024 of mine was to be even more efficient with my time, pouring into my marriage, children, career, businesses and patients. No matter what I am doing I want to make sure I am 100% focused on that one aspect of my life. I have always made sure when I am with the kids, my undivided attention and focus is on them. When Sal and I get a date night or after we put the kids to bed, that is our time to spend quality time together, laugh, talk, goal set you name it. This also applies when I am with my patients, when I am at RA, my heart and attention is 100% poured into my patients and making them look and feel their absolute best!

Now, some days finding this balance and getting all the gears to click perfectly are a little more challenging, but that is what makes life fun! My typical week is seeing patients in the clinic at RA 3 days a week & have admin days the other 2 days. So let’s walk through “A Day In The Life of Racquel”.

My schedule on a clinic day

Wake up 5:15

Workout at home gym with my trainer Angela – She is amazing and pushes me to new levels with my health and fitness. (1 hour)

Stretch & reflect to prepare for the busy day (10 mins)

Sauna or cold plunge (5-20 mins- depending on time)

Get the kiddos up, dressed, and fed

Get ready for work – Check out my work day glam routine here!

Drop kiddos at school

See first patient 9am

See around 20 patients (7-8 hours)

Pick up kiddos from school

Girls usually have gymnastics, dance, or soccer depending on day of week

Enzo has soccer or baseball depending on day of week

Typically we are home by 7

Shower & Get kiddos ready for bed

Dinner as a family (I have the meals prepped and ready to pop in the oven or put on the stove so this saves so much time!)

Kids read, watch a show together snuggle & bedtime

One on one time with Sal to talk, reflect, catch up, watch a show, etc.

Read or watch a show to decompress

Bed Goal is 10:30 pm

*I also prep for the next morning every night. I lay out the kids clothes, make sure their lunches are ready, pack any sports bags/clothes, etc. I make sure my iPad or laptop is charged and ready. I put anything I can in the car. In the morning, I can just grab everything and go- makes it a lot easier. I even prep my coffee machine so in the morning I just push a button!

I have a company (A Perfect Fit STL) prep Sal & I’s lunches so we just grab those on Monday and bring them to work for the week. She also preps 3 dinners so I can pop those in the oven or put on the stove and I do not have to prep food. This saves us so much time and helps us make the healthiest choices.

The key for me is being prepared and planning ahead. It allows us to pack a lot in and for things to go smoothly.

Non-Clinic Day

My non clinic days look different. I have admin days where I do all of my business planning, meetings, work on RFA skincare, and then sometimes spend these days out in the field doing national training for Galderma and Allergan or my training academy The RA Way. Training and continued self growth for 2024 has been off to a fast start. I love every ounce of my time training other aesthetic providers in the industry. Not only do I get to grow as a provider, but it allows me to give back to the industry. It’s only March and I can’t wait for what is to come with the growth of RA & RFA this year!

I have days where I knock out appointments and self care like nails, hair, errands, etc. Remember self care is not selfish, it’s essential and a non-negotiable for me.

My non-clinic days, I also prioritize a workout or a daily walk. With the weather getting nicer, we are loving family walks outside! And as you know, I’m in my “Healthy Girl Era” testing out an Oura ring, Garmin and Whoop Strap. I am actively testing these biometric health devices to really have the comprehensive look at my body’s key performance data and how to optimize my health in the best way possible! More to come on which device I feel fits my lifestyle and goals! 🤍

Weekends

Weekends are a time to spend with my family. With the kids being at fun ages for sports and building memories, we are always trying to be together as much as possible on the weekends. We love to spend time together at our farmhouse on the weekends, it’s so relaxing and peaceful.

We enjoy family workouts on the weekends, drinking out coffee together, taking golf cart rides, playing games, watching movies, you name it, we love it! It’s about spending quality time together.

Sal & I try to pre-plan our date nights at the beginning of the week to make sure our marriage remains a #1 priority. Without Sal and our marriage nothing else works! We have our favorite restaurants we like to go or we go see a movie or have an event to go to.

There you have it… A day in the life of Racquel!

XO-

Racquel
