A few months ago I polled my IG for top book recommendations and here are the top results! I have read some and others are on my upcoming bucket list. As a busy mama of 3 reading a book is a luxury I don’t often have the opportunity to indulge in, but during those rare quiet moments I love to read when I can. Even if it’s just a few pages a day. I get most of my reading done when I am travelling. That is by far my favorite time to use reading as a form of relaxation.
I think reading is so important. It expands our minds, gives us ideas, motivation, and inspiration. It helps us to evolve and grow. Reading has been proven to keep our minds young, healthy and sharp, with studies showing that reading can even help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. The more you use your brain the stronger it gets, just like your muscles. Even reading to your kiddos at night is better than nothing and waay better mindlessly scrolling.
Here are some books that will be sure to make you think, move you, and motivate you:
GREEN LIGHTS MATTHEW MCONAUGHEY
EXTREME OWNERSHIP BY JOCKO WILLINK
WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES BY GEORGIA HUNTER
HOW TO DO THE WORK BY DR. NICOLE LEPERA
THE UPSIDE OF STRESS BY KELLY MCGONIGAL
MANS SEARCH FOR MEANING BY VIKTOR E. FRANKL
This list has something for everyone and I highly recommend reading out of your comfort zone. It makes your brain work a little harder and you may just like something you didn’t think you would. It is important to do things that make you uncomfortable.
I love compiling these list for you so if you have more suggestions send them my way and I will do a 2.0!
XOXO
