How To Get Rid Of Tech Neck

A product of our unwavering obsession with our devices, “Tech Neck” or “Text Neck” is becoming more widely known these days. Also becoming apparent in younger age groups. Now using your devices all day is bad for your neck and back in general but did you also know it is wreaking havoc on your skin? Keep reading and I will show you how to take care of the matter easily!

What is Tech Neck?

Tech neck refers to the horizontal lines (or “necklace lines”) that appear on our neck after constantly tilting our heads forward to look down at our smartphones and mobile devices. Aside from our tech fixation, neck lines and chest wrinkles are also a common occurrence thanks to genetics, the natural aging process, collagen loss, gravity, and sun damage. Since we have evolved into a tech world and crane our necks to use phones, tablets, and laptops, creases in the neck and chest form and deepen over time but don’t worry, we have the perfect fix for those pesky tech neck wrinkles. It’s called, Micro-Botox and Filler.

How does it help?

Small amounts of botox (on average of about 40-50 units) are injected into the skin (on the top layer). This is a different technique than how we inject into the facial muscles to correct lines caused my muscular movement.  This will help tighten the skin and diminish lines and “chicken skin” or rough texture on the neck. This also gives the skin a beautiful overall sheen and glow. Results may vary but an average client will see the effects of the injections a few days after the appointment and up to a few weeks for best results. This will last about 3-4 months.

FILLER TO THE HoRIZONTAL NECK LINES

Injectable dermal fillers reduce lines, wrinkles and folds, rejuvenate the skin, and improve skin texture in various parts of the body, including the face, neck, chest, hands, elbows, knees, and earlobes. With the right techniques, soft tissue fillers can be used to address all patient concerns with regards to the aging neck and chest.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To treat neck lines and chest wrinkles we use super soft filler, a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that can improve moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles.  The filler fully integrates into the skin and leaves no lumps or bumps when administered by a highly skilled injector. Rather than plumping or volumizing like thicker, more robust fillers, this type of filler is injected in “micro-aliquot” amounts to fine-tune and hydrate the treatment area. I have a special dilution and technique I use that makes this treatment look super natural.

HOW LONG DO IMPROVEMENTS LAST?

On average, HA fillers last for 9 to 12 months or more. Regular treatments are needed to maintain the results of the procedure. Of course, dermal fillers provide the best outcomes when complemented with other non-surgical treatments such as microneedling, lasers, skincare, and toxin.
