Do you ever feel like life gets busier and busier every day? Being a wife, having 3 active kids and running 2 businesses is definitely a full plate, let alone striving to be healthy, a good mom, sister, daughter & friend. Sometimes people ask, how do you do it all Racquel? Some days are wild, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I thought it would be fun to break down my top tips for a busy lifestyle! ❤️
Understand Your Priorities.
What is MOST important to you? You can’t do it all, so you have to decide what things are non-negotiables and never let your standards for those things slip. For me, this would be my health, my family, and my career. Those are 3 things I am not willing to give on. I prioritize those things and never let anything come before them. I consistently choose these things before everything else.
What You Cannot Do, You Delegate!
Everyone knows that great leaders delegate! Be the best leader of your life and delegate things that you do not HAVE to do. I need and want to spend my days being a mom, a business owner, a wife to Sal, and taking care of myself and my family. Every hour counts and we all know there are just not enough hours in the day and we literally cannot do it all. There are some things that I do not have to be the person to get the job done. For me, this is meal prepping, home cleaning, and grocery shopping. I save somewhere around 10 hours (an entire day!) every week by delegating these things out. My time is priceless and I would rather spend that precious time with my kids. I can pop a pre-prepped meal on the stove, or play a game with my kids while someone is grocery shipping for us – this allows me to be fully present with them. There are only so many hours in the day. I chose to spend mine doing the things I love and delegating the things I don’t have to do.
Make A List & Attack.
Be a planner – prep everything ahead of time. Sync your calendars, prep kids stuff the night before the next day, always be prepared. I promise you this is a BIG one!
Workout First Thing In The AM!
Or at least schedule it each day – so you can make it a non negotiable. I have found over the years if I don’t plan it into my day, it is so easy to skip or miss the chance to get my exercise in. For me, it works best to wake up and knock it out so that I can check it off my list and it’s honestly such a great way to get your mind right and start the day on the right foot. Working out is essential for living a long and healthy life, for physical and mental health, for “me” time, and for setting a great example for our kids. Check out some of my favorite, effective and efficient workouts here!
Date Night Every Week.
Life gets chaotic. And one thing I am learning is that life goes FAST. I blinked and my twins are no longer “babies”. It has me thinking that the next time I blink they will be going to college, and when that time comes I pray that Sal and I will still be as connected as we are today and that we work to maintain an amazing marriage (and then we can travel the world together! lol). Our family started with just the two of us and one day it will be just the two of us again. I don’t want us to lose our spark or connection. A great marriage takes WORK. Date nights and time to connect as a couple is a must. It takes intention and dedication. Like all great things, it takes hard work but is always worth it.
Know Your WHY & Chase Your Dreams!
You only get one life. Make sure you are not just going through the motions each day without any thought about your “why”. WHY are you doing what you do today? Who do you want to help? Life is about helping other people, which then brings us immense joy and happiness. We only get one chance to live our best lives, to help other people, and to leave a mark on the world. You get to design the life you want to live. Life is way too short to be anything but happy. If you are not happy, start making changes! Happiness is created and earned through designing the life you want to live. The moment I started to understand that is the moment my life was forever changed. Understand your priorities!

Racquel
