Aesthetics is such an incredibly evolving industry. As you might know, at Racquel Aesthetics we strive to always offer the most advanced and innovative treatments on the market. Ones that truly deliver incredible and transformational results! We love pouring ourselves into continuing education and new research to best serve our patients. Helping our patients feel healthy and beautiful from the inside out is a priority.

You may be starting to see the words “Regenerative Medicine” popup here and there these days. Let me tell you, the world of Aesthetic Medicine and Regenerative medicine is a beautiful thing! When combining the two, they work synergistically together to enhance the functionality and appearance of the body using innovative techniques.

Let’s break down how these two fields merge!

Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine focuses on repairing or replacing damaged tissues and organs by stimulating the body’s own repair mechanisms. Techniques used in this field include:

  • Stem Cell Therapy: Using stem cells to regenerate damaged tissues.
  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy: Utilizing components from the patient’s own blood to promote healing and tissue repair.
  • Cell Engineering: Creating new cells to replace damaged ones.

Aesthetic Medicine

Aesthetic medicine aims to improve physical appearance through non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures. Techniques include:

  • Botox and Dermal Fillers: To reduce wrinkles and add volume to the face.
  • Laser Treatments: For skin resurfacing, hair removal, and treating pigmentation issues.
  • Microneedling: Stimulating collagen production to improve skin texture and tone.

Combining the Two

When regenerative medicine and aesthetic medicine combine, the goal is often to enhance the appearance and health of the skin and other tissues by harnessing the body’s natural healing processes. Some examples include:

  • PRP Therapy for Skin Rejuvenation: PRP can be used in aesthetic procedures to improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and promote a youthful appearance.
  • Regenerative Treatments for Anti-Aging: Techniques like radiofrequency combined with medical grade skincare can help in stimulating collagen and turn back the clock on your skin genes.

This combination can provide more holistic and natural-looking results, focusing not just on appearance but also on the underlying health and vitality of tissues.

What is The Anti- Aging Facial

Our Anti Aging Facial is a great way to stimulate collagen without downtime! This luxurious 60 minute treatment is designed for anyone who is looking to rejuvenate their skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and achieve a radiant, youthful glow. The treatment starts with a relaxing double cleanse and gentle dermaplaning to reveal a smoother complexion. The main highlight of the facial is our warm 25-minute radiofrequency tightening treatment for the neck and face. This advanced technology uses energy waves to heat the deep layers of your skin, stimulating collagen production and enhancing firmness. The facial is completed with customized, high-quality RFA anti-aging products that nourish and protect your skin, leaving it radiant and youthful!

What is PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a technique that uses your own blood platelets and natural growth factors to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, restoring the area of concern. By enhancing blood flow and cellular repair, PRP injections boost the overall skin health and radiance, resulting in a brighter, more luminous complexion.

PRP facial injections are considered low risk because they use your own blood. The process involves drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and then injecting this plasma into targeted areas of your face. While the risk is low, mild bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection sites can occur. These side effects are generally temporary and resolve on their own within a few days.

One of our favorite areas at Racquel Aesthetics to treat with PRP is the under eye region, which can help with the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles and volume loss. Other areas where PRP injections can be used are around the mouth, temples, cheeks, neck and scalp to name a few.

For the best outcomes with PRP, a series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart is recommended. This schedule helps maximize the benefits of collagen stimulation and cellular repair. You’ll typically see continued improvements over the following three months as your skin responds to the treatment. To maintain the benefits, it is recommended for maintenance treatments every six to twelve months.
