Thanksgiving Recipes

Thanksgiving is coming up quickly so Darcy wanted to share some of her favorite thanksgiving recipes, we are staying ahead of the game over here! Thanksgiving is a holiday centered around food, football and family which is just how I like it. We do our Thanksgiving with immediate and extended family and it is so fun and happily hectic.

Use these recipes to easily impress any guests!

Easy Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:
10 oz bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons orange zest
1/3 cup Stevia that measures like sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Combine 8-10 oz bag of fresh or frozen cranberries, orange zest, stevia, (vanilla extract, cinnamon.. optional) to a saucepan on medium heat 8-10 mins constantly stir.

Macros per Recipe: Calories: 134. 100 C. 1 P. 0 F. makes 8 servings:
Macros per serving: 1/4 cup. Calories: 17 C: 13 P: 0 F: 0

Darcy’s Family Slaw

Ingredients:
Shredded Cabbage (1/2 cup per person)
3/4 C Veg oil
1/4 C vinegar
3/4 tsp dry mustard or dijon
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp grated onion
1/4 tsp poppy seeds

Directions:
Combine vinegar, mustard, salt, sugar, onion and poppy seeds; whisk or shake these ingredients together then add veg oil and whisk/shake again. Shred cabbage or spinach pour dressing over top.

Macros of Entire Dressing Recipe: 1711 calories. P: 0 C: 66 F: 164. Makes 12 oz.
Macros for 1 oz.: 142 calories. P: 0 C: 6 F: 14.
Only need ~1 oz dressing for 1/2 head shredded cabbage.  (you do not need much dressing)

Classic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:
2.5 lbs medium yukon gold potatoes or red potatoes
4 tbsp butter, 1 cup skim milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp white pepper

Directions:
Peel and cube potatoes, then boiled until tender. Whip all together using a hand or stand mixer

Macros per 1/2 cup serving: 120 cal, 4F 18C 2P

Mini Pumpkin Pies

with Level-1 or Phormula-1

Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree
6 Mini Graham Pie Shell
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Honey, 1 tsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice,
2 scoop 1st Phorm Phormula-1 CTC or Vanilla protein powder

Directions:
Mix all wet ingredients then add in dry ingredients – whip until combined. Pour into mini crusts and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours before serving

Macros for 1 mini pie: 202 calories. P: 10 C: 30 F: 4.5
