Hello there!
My name is Denise Wilson. I’m a Licensed Esthetician and Laser Specialist with 19 years of laser experience. Prior to joining the team at Racquel Aesthetics, I spent the last 10 years honing and refining my skills within a Cosmetic Dermatology office in Frontenac.
I’m so excited to be joining Racquel at her new practice, Racquel Aesthetics. Her dream and vision have become a reality and I can’t wait for you all to see it in person!
I offer a variety of services from IPL/BBL, Moxi Resurfacing, Chemical Peels, Microneedling with PRP/Exosomes, PRP for hair loss, and customized skin care regimens.
I’m honored to be joining Racquel today on her Blog. So, let’s discuss all things Redness! Facial vessels and Redness can become a thing of the past with the Vbeam Perfecta Laser treatment.
Vbeam Perfecta Treatment
The Vbeam Perfecta Laser is one of the most advanced pulsed-dye lasers currently on the market and is known for its ability to treat generalized redness. In addition to reducing the appearance of cosmetic veins and broken capillaries in the face, the laser can easily treat.
- Rosacea/ Facial flushing
- Cherry Angiomas
- Post inflammatory erythema from acne scars
- Poikiloderma- most commonly seen on the neck and chest, is characterized by red pigment associated with sun damage
- Pigmentation
- Post-surgical scars
- Bruising
The Vbeam Perfecta is a non-ablative laser that utilizes a 595 nm wavelength and delivers an ultra-long pulse of light that destroys the selected blood vessels in your skin without damaging the surrounding skin. For skin protection, a Dynamic Cooling Device is used, which sprays a cool mist across the skin. Most of my patients have very minimal discomfort during their treatment. Patients compare their experience to a warm and tingling or a slight rubber band snap sensation. Patients do not require numbing gel for this particular treatment. It’s so comfortable we will be offering a kicked-up version called “Red RX,” which is a combination of Vbeam Perfecta and a chemical peel. This combo is a great option for those patients who are concerned about redness and anti-aging.
Pre-Treatment
Prior to treatment make sure you do not use a self-tanning agent for at least 2 weeks. Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater daily and no recent sun exposure prior to treatment. Before your treatment, inform me of any new medications or antibiotics you’re currently taking. Some medications can make your skin sensitive to light treatments, and you will have to be off those medications for 2 weeks before starting your treatment.
After Treatment

Following your Vbeam Perfecta treatment, clients can expect the treated area to be slightly red or swollen anywhere from a few hours to a few days after the treatment. Bruising, called purpura, may occur. Purpura typically disappears within five to seven days. We recommend avoiding any sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment. Patients can put makeup on shortly after treatment.
Patients will see significant changes in their skin after one treatment, but for optimal results, clients will need to undergo at least three to five treatment sessions to enjoy the full results. Committing to one maintenance treatment every 3-6 months will allow clients to maintain the amazing results that they have acquired from their initial laser treatment, promoting impeccable skin health, clarity, and collagen stimulation.
