Recently I got to get together with Megan Keller again! She is a local stylist in STL, it was just as amazing as in the spring! We were picking out some new Fall staples for this season. I was so excited because there are so many trends going on right now and this was an easy way to narrow it down to the ones that I liked the most and also using clothes I already had. Yes a stylist can be expensive but most of the time they are able to work with any budget, just respect their time and do some of your own research.
I invited Megan back on the blog so everyone could get all her tips on what is in this fall.
So here is Megan!
Such a crazy time in the world right now and it definitely has changed the way we prioritize . Many are working from home, not going on vacation, and are cutting back on spending due to lay offs etc…
However one thing remains, we all LOVE fashion and keeping up with the trends. You may not be going out as much with friends, family, or date night but everyone likes a few new pieces when seasons change and these are all budget friendly!
get gorgeous in Velvet
Yes velvet is a trend that is sticking around and we are not upset about it. Whether it’s a crushed oversized blazer paired with jeans and a bodysuit or a velvet dress with a leather jacket and knee high boots, you will be in the fall mood. Some of my fav’s below:
Walk in White Boots
These boots are definitely made for walkin’. I have a lot of clients who look at me funny when I say they will wear them ALL the time. Once I put the Lookbook together and show them all the different ways you can wear them, they are sold! I love the stiletto heel, chunky heel, and knee high and all can be paired with jeans to dresses!
Leather, even on a Monday
Leather is such a classic Fall staple and it EVERYWHERE this Fall season. So many different colors in jackets, skirts, and paperbag trouser pants. Any can be worn with a bodysuit and boot.
Animal Prints
Animal spots, stripes, and scales! Find them in shoes, dresses, tops, skirts, and purses this Fall season. Personally, I’m an animal print lover and have definitely been known to chose a leopard print!
SCHUTZ Analeah Pointed Toe Knee High Boot – $238 ASTR the Label Nikita Dress in Burnout Leopard – $114 SAM EDELMAN Codie Square Toe Bootie $149 AQUA Satin Midi Slip Skirt – $68 Fiercely Flirty Brown Leopard Print Mesh Long Sleeve Bodysuit – $42 ASOS Design Square Neck Puff Sleeve Jumpsuit in Micro Leopard print-Multi – $25.65
Flirty Fringe
After bubbling away quietly for the past few seasons, fringing is starting to make a bigger, bolder appearance. Find it in the form of embellished dresses and coats for Fall of 2020. You don’t need to be from the wild, wild west to add these to your closet this fall, even scrunchies are trying it out.
Thankyou so much to Megan!
Once I see her putting items together I am way more excited to wear more bold and staple pieces that I otherwise might not have known how to pair together. Like I mentioned Megan helped me back in the spring and I felt so prepared for summer, now with the air getting crisp she’s got me set again. Megan is great and works to each individual’s needs and ALL budgets. Whether it is going through your closet together and decluttering for an hour or two or adding new seasonal pieces and styling them for a complete look, she will be able to help. She also just told me that she is now doing family stylings for fall photo sessions – like how freakin cute! We all know it is a struggle to find something for everyone that matches but doesn’t match too much, lol I know we all can picture that too matchy family photo.
