If You Can Dream It, You Can Achieve It

In today’s blog, I just want to share a little inspiration and motivation. My career is something that I once dreamed of as a child.  I can vividly remember the days of dreaming of becoming a nurse, and eventually a nurse practitioner and aesthetic injector.  I would literally visualize while working my night shifts, after being in school all day, how I would one day chase my ultimate passion to become a nurse injector.  I was obsessed, following, reading, learning and literally doing anything that I could possibly do to absorb some type of valuable information.  I think I have watched, followed and listened to every thought leader and role model doing big things in our industry on literally any platform that I could just to learn.

My Dream, My Goal

Sometimes it’s hard to believe but I have made all of those dreams into my reality and it has helped me really understand how important dreaming, visualizing and hard work has allowed me to truly turn my once dream into a reality.  I’m here to tell you, much like a vacation, life is simply a result of you knowing where you want to go, developing a plan to get there and never settling until you arrive. I honestly can’t stand when people tell me how lucky I am because although it is certainly true in many regards of my life, my career is not one of them.  My point in saying this is that if I can do it…SO CAN YOU! I am not special. I just set a big goal, put in the work, eliminated the distractions and worked my butt off.

The amazing news I wanted to share with you today is that I am crossing off another goal! I have partnered with one of the best companies in our industry to help add to  a platform to help other nurses who shared my same goal of becoming a nurse injector.  Unlike when I was learning, Allergan has literally combined a ton of amazing resources on how to jumpstart your career to becoming a nurse injector and I am very proud to be able to contribute as a small piece of that platform. Their site is called Your Spark and it’s full of amazing info. I wish something like this existed when I was first starting out. The site is full of interviews, blogs, informational videos, and links to resources for education and professional organizations. It’s a great place to get lost and explore the beginnings of this amazing career which I highly encourage you to chase. I was beyond honored to be asked by Allergan to share my journey into aesthetics during an interview that was turned into a blog on their website and I would love to share it with you by clicking on this link!
