5 Staple Pieces for Spring 2021

Last Spring, I had a styling session with Megan Keller, a local STL stylist and it was amazing! We took a look to see what I had and she gave me tips on new ways to wear some pieces I had that I may have otherwise left hanging in the closet. Then we identified what staple pieces I was lacking. It’s amazing how many looks you can create with the same few articles! She helped me step outside of my comfort zone and pick a few new things I wouldn’t have on my own that I ended up loving once I put them on!

I invited Megan onto the blog today to share her wealth of knowledge and bring you tons of amazing pieces to fill out your spring wardrobe.

She also works with several clients who are new moms or looking for a mommy makeover! She can help you with Post Baby transitional pieces until you lose that baby weight or have lost the baby weight and are ready for some new pieces after wearing stretchy clothes for 9 months!

Spring Closet Staples

Here’s Megan.

Spring is FINALLY here and after a year of hibernation and wearing more athleisure attire than we are used to it is time for some frills and bright happy colors for Spring! Here are 5 must have staples below to have in your closet this Spring!

1. The Slide Sandal

The flat slide sandal is the epitome of effortless.

The glory of this shoe is that it doesn’t require much thought—it’s just slip on and go. There’s a version for every occasion: From rubber or jeweled to soft leather or metallic, there’s certainly a style that will take you from day to night. Below, some of the best pairs to buy for summer 2021 so you can get dressed in two minutes flat, no sweat.

2. The Mix of Jeans

While you may already have your ideal skinny style in your denim rotation- thought some fresh denim inspiration could be of interest in case you’re looking to mix it up a bit. From Bootcut, Distressed loose fit, to Straight leg Levi’s.

3. Romantic Dresses

I guess we have Bridgerton to thank for this one. Instead of the breezy boho dresses of seasons past, mini dresses with puffed sleeves, empire waistbands, and pretty toile prints have become the style we’re all favoring.

We’re seeing lots of boyfriend cuts around, so you can stay in your comfort zone (physically speaking) while looking and feeling like your best self. Loving some of these white and pastel color blazers for Spring paired with bodysuit and a high waisted jean your set!
