Traveling with Sal and my family is my favorite way to create memories that I will cherish FOREVER! It is a time for bonding, having fun, relaxing, and truly enjoying what life is all about. Here are some of my favorite spots that I am excited to share with you all.
FAMILY VACATION FAVES
Sea Island, Georgia (see previous blog I wrote here)
This is a southern GEM. AMAZING family vacation to make memories forever. Definitely a family place. Many amazing restaurants and amenities right on the property. You never have to leave! From the beach, kids activities, the pools, ice cream shop, candy shop, bowling, endless excursions and activities there is something for EVERYONE! We have gone twice and loved every minute. We rent a small house with a pool and a golf cart to hop around the amazing property!
Montage Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina (see previous blog I wrote here)
This is another best kept secret of the south. AMAZING family vacation to make memories forever. Another family place. Many amazing restaurants and amenities right on the property. You never have to leave! This is not on the beach. It is on the May River, which is a salt river that feeds into the ocean. We went out on a boat excursion to watch for dolphins and to go fishing and we had the best time. Low Country is a special kind of beauty. From the kids activities, the pools, ice cream shop, candy shop, bowling, endless excursions and activities there is something for EVERYONE! The Montage really knows how to cater to the entire family. We rented a small house and a golf cart to hop around the amazing property. Fun fact: Justin Bieber had his wedding here!
The Breakers, West Palm Beach Florida
This was on our bucket list as one of the most legendary resorts in Florida. Founded in the 1890’s this resort really takes you back in time with an old school luxury feel, yet has done a great job of keeping everything beautifully maintenance and modern. The best way I can describe it is a timeless classic vibe! They have many great amenities and restaurants on the property, but you an also walk or grab an uber and head downtown for some of the most incredible restaurants and shopping…oh, and the people watching is next level! My two favorite restaurants off property were Bice and Pizza Al Fresco. There is a ton to do for kiddos, but this could also make a nice romantic trip as well.
Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego California
I originally ended up here while speaking at a conference in San Diego. Sal came with me and we made a little date weekend out of it. Located on the nostalgic Coronado Island, this iconic resort is full of history and energy. It takes you back in time…big time! Before you go, you will have to read up on the history of the hotel, the famous guests like Marilyn Monroe and many presidents who have stayed there, and even the resident ghosts who never left! The energy you feel in the lobby and the ball room allows you to picture people dancing in their hoop dresses and tuxedos and walking with their large travel trunks. We had so much fun, we ended up bringing our kids back for a vacation. This time, we stayed at the Shore Club, which is the newer part of the resort and they have suites for families. Coronado Island is very Americana. The beach is amazing for kids and there are a ton of amenities right on the resort and on the island. We ate breakfast at Henry’s many times – it was our favorite spot. We traveled into downtown San Diego to take the kids to the zoo and a Padres baseball game. It was the perfect family trip in every way.
MEXICO FAVORITES

Waldorf Astoria, The Pedregal: Cabo, Mexico (see previous blog I wrote here)
We have stayed here at least 5 times and this is our favorite little Mexico get away. They do allow children so you could make it a family affair. The best part of this spot is when you are at the resort you are truly in paradise, but with a quick walk through the tunnel you are downtown Cabo and can be in the mix of all of the authentic fun. *Read blog for lots of deets and my fav spots*
Rosewood Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico
This was an amazing couples trip in the beautiful caribbean of Mexico. It is a very private and relaxing resort. You don’t ever leave the resort. Everything is right there! There are several amazing restaurants, tons of excursions, lots of privacy, and the perfect places for relaxation. The spa was incredible and they also have a great gym! Sal and I did the fire and ice couples massage and it was lovely! You can ride your bikes all around the resort, which was so fun! This was the perfect spot to get away, relax, and re connect. The ocean front suites are stunning and private.
Four Seasons Costa Palmas, East Cape/Cabo, Mexico
One hour north of cabo in North Baja is this hidden gem of Mexico. I love this area because the beaches are huge and it is safe to swim in the ocean. When I say this resort is paradise, it honestly doesnt get better in my opinion. From the mountains, to the desert, to the beach – there are endless activities for the entire family. From a fishing excursion, to snorkeling at the national park and a beautiful boat ride through the ocean – this is it for me! We swam in the pool with the kids and jumped on the trampolines in the ocean. Insert one spicy marg and the kids had me doing some of my old gymnastics moves flipping off into the ocean, lol. They have amazing restaurants right on the property, an ice cream shop, coffee shop, arcade, shopping, and more. The gym was gorgeous and they even had a cold plunge! The days are hot and the nights have the best breeze. Cabo has my heart. Best vacation ever!
SEXY COUPLES GETAWAY SPOTS

Nizuc, Cancun Mexico
This is so close to the Cancun airport and makes for the perfect weekend getaway! It is a small and luxuriously private resort. We enjoyed workouts in their beautiful gym, couples massages at the spa, margs by the adults pool, snorkeling in the crystal clear ocean, dinner by the beach, and cocktails at the cute little cigar bar. It is the perfect destination to unwind and enjoy the caribbean breeze. This is a great go to for those quick sexy trips with your partner.
Essex House, JW Marriott, NYC
This is where Sal and I stayed when we got engaged! Since then, we have gone back around Christmas time and it is just magical. It is located right across from Central Park and is in a great location for enjoying all that NYC has to offer. The views are amazing and they have great amenities. Is there anything better than a little weekend in NYC full of great meals, shopping, walking, site seeing, and of course a broadway musical. Book in advance and you can get a reservation at the famous Polo Bar restaurant and maybe you will see a celeb or two! It is a swanky little spot that is all about the experience. We love the magic of Christmas in NYC and I can’t wait to take the kids to experience this soon!
The Faena, Miami Florida
A little getaway to Miami is a super sexy way to enjoy time re connecting with your spouse! We loved staying at the Faena- it has a very swanky 50’s vibe and really takes you back in time. They have great real estate on the beach and a super cute pool and pool bar. The gym was great for getting a nice workout in. Some of our favorites restaurants in Miami are Komodo (sushi with a vibe!) and Papi Steak. Then, head back to the Faena for a night cap in their lounge, The Living Room. Getting away with my hubby is always so much fun and always reminds me how important it is to put us first!
Cheers to traveling!! I hope this brings some new inspiration when planning your next getaway!

Racquel
